This photo was taken with all natural lighting and features a large depth of field and a moderately fast shutter speed. The exposure is fairly even between darks and light. This photo was taken looking directly out of my car windshield into the street ahead of me and slightly looking up to see the buildings. This photo follows the rule of thirds because the focal point, the church building, is slightly off center. The sense of depth is created by the leading lines of the street as the distance between myself and the church building grows. This photo creates a sense of chaos, because of the idea of a bustling city with traffic, pedestrians, and work vehicles. |

This photo was taken in fluorescent lighting and features a slow shutter speed. The photo was taken looking from below to up into the umbrella as it spun. It follows the rule of thirds because the photo is off center, leaving one side of the umbrella more in frame than the other. The photo creates a sense of dizziness from the implied spinning of the umbrella. |

This photo was taken in a fluorescent setting with the flash on. I used a medium shutter speed since there was no movement in the subject. The photo was taken looking directly onto the cat and up close to its head. The image uses the rule of thirds because the patterns on the cat are not centered. The photo creates a feeling of calmness due to the cat being asleep and laying down sideways. |

This photo was taken using an extremely slow shutter speed, letting in as much light as possible and capturing the movements of each light as they went across the frame. The image uses the rule of thirds because the light travels from the far right of the image to the far left and doesn't remain in just the center. It creates a feeling of mystery because the image shows movement but doesn't show any people. |

This image was taken from the top of my staircase looking straight forward into the wall and the shapes and patterns the walls create as they meet. The image uses the rule of thirds because most of the focal point is located towards the left side of the image. It creates a sense of organization since the shapes all have perfectly straight edges and fit together perfectly to make geometric shapes. |

This image was taken out of my car and looking up slightly in Providence. The image had a fast shutter speed as the car was moving quickly and it follows the rule of thirds because the center of the image doesn't have any part of the focal point. The focal point is the three towers on the factory that draw the eye since they are so dark. The image creates a sense of gloominess because of the clouds and the factory. |
